When her boyfriend falls asleep, she abandons her book and picks up a fashion magazine. Grace KellyThe original edition of Beyond the High Himalayas was published in by Doubleday in 1952. Rear Window, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, was released in 1954. It is based on Cornell Woolrich’s 1942 short story It Had To Be MurderGrace KellyJeff Jeffries [James Stewart] has broken his leg and is confined to a wheelchair in his apartment. His rear window looks out onto a courtyard and other apartments and, during a heatwave, he watches his neighbours. He becomes convinced he has seen a murder and his girlfriend Lisa investigates.
